Did you know that the loudest sound in the world was the volcanic eruption of Krakatoa in Indonesia?


The eruption was so loud, it was heard 5,000km away and had a recorded volume of 172dB at 100 miles away from the source (for reference, the loudest sound even possible is 194dB!).
